Ready to Adopt?

Our cats and kittens are cared for within a network of foster homes. To meet our adoptable cats and kittens, you have the following options:

  • They can be seen at in-person Adoption Events,
  • On Petfinder.com/catspawjamas or this website
  • By arrangement AFTER submission of an application,

Many are listed on Petfinder.com, but some, particularly those cats new to the group may not be.

We encourage you to complete an application even if you don't see exactly the cat you're looking for. Make sure and include the characteristics you desire and we will contact you to discuss the cats in our care. We may have exactly what you're looking for!

"He has turned out to be an amazing cat. He isn't afraid of ANYTHING, very inquisitive, and wants to be by my side at all times. He has really taken to the kids as well, and I am 100% thrilled to have him as part of our family."

Why Adoption?
  • Almost 500,000 cats and kittens were euthanized in shelters in 2019 due to not having a home
  • You are not only rescuing a cat or kitten that may otherwise have been euthanized, you're making room to save another
  • Rescues often take sick and disabled kittens that would not survive in a shelter environment
  • The adoption fee is far less than you would pay for comparable services from a private vet (spaying a cat in JOCO can cost over $300)
  • The cat or kitten is already altered

Why Adopt from a Foster-Based Organization?
  • Cats and Kittens from a foster home tend to be more affectionate since they're interacting with people for long periods of time each day
  • They've been exposed to normal home activities, like vacuuming and dogs
  • The foster parent knows their personality and can help ensure a good fit between adopter and cat

The 411 on Spay and Neuter
  • Puppies and Kittens can be altered as early as 8 weeks of age or 2lbs
  • 733,000 shelter animals were euthanized in 2019, down from 17 million in 1984
  • Twice as many cats are euthanized as dogs
  • Cats can get pregnant as early as 4 months of age
  • One female cat that has not been spayed, along with her offspring, can produce 420,000 cats in 7 years
  • The number of spayed or neutered cats declined by 5% between 2016 and 2018
  • The main reason for euthanasia is over population

Cats Pawjamas is a 501(c)3, non-profit, foster-based cat and kitten rescue. We focus on rescuing and rehoming those cats and kittens  facing death due to illness or by euthanasia. Almost all of these cats and kittens require medical intervention prior to adoption. We prepare these cats and kittens, both physically and mentally, to be adopted into loving homes.
