Fostering isn’t just about cuddling kittens. It’s about stepping up when it’s inconvenient, messy, and emotionally draining—and doing it anyway.

We don’t need warm bodies. We need fosters who are:

· Lifelong learners
· Passionate about animal welfare
· Willing to work hard to save lives

We only bring on a few fosters because we train, support, and integrate you into a high-performing team. If you’re looking to make a difference—and you meet the qualifications below—we’d love to talk.

🔹 Minimum Foster Qualifications

💛 Mission-Driven
· Passionate about cats and kittens, committed to spay/neuter and anti-declaw values

· Understands that fostering prepares cats for adoption—not to keep them

· Supports the mission beyond fostering: events, fundraising, social media

🧠 Skills & Aptitude
· Can medicate by mouth (pills/liquids) and is willing to learn injections and sub-q fluids

· Follows medical directions carefully

· Comfortable with tech: must use our foster management software

· Can take clear, social-media-ready photos of fosters

🧍 Team Mentality
· Works well in a team and contributes to a positive, solution-focused environment

· Handles conflict respectfully and appreciates diverse backgrounds and perspectives

⏳ Time & Commitment
· Live within 5 miles of Olathe, KS

· Must have an appropriate space to isolate cats and kittens

· Minimum one-year commitment

· Willing to keep fosters until adoption—not just short-term

· Has the time and environment to socialize kittens properly
